Winter Mushroom Photo Walk
During the holiday season, I took time to explore the woods for mushroom photography, despite the winter’s limitations and ongoing drought. Surprisingly, I found two tiny mushrooms and some colorful leaves. The best photo features a nickel-to-quarter-sized mushroom, shot with a macro lens. More images can be viewed on Flickr.

Capturing Last Faded Fall Colors
The frost has eliminated most fall colors in the yard, though some hardy marigolds remain vibrant. Living in colder climates is challenging, with temperatures dropping to 55°. Recent weather was unpredictable, including a tornado followed by freezing conditions. The author appreciates the muted pastel tones of the remaining colors.

Rebuilt Watoola Methodist Church
