About my Fujifilm X100VI
My experience with Fujifilm in general has been fantastic. I left Nikon for Fujifilm (or transitioned to Fujifilm from Nikon) during the release of the Fujifilm X100 back in 2011. Unfortunately, I kept that camera just long enough to get some decent product shots, but not much longer. It was a hard sell at the time when I was shooting a Nikon D7200, a far more powerful device, and I just couldn’t hang on to it. But I did finally “get it” with the Fujifilm X70 and X-Pro2, both of which were two of my most favorite cameras ever. Maybe they weren’t my “best” cameras ever, but they were by far the most fun. I tried the X-T5 in late 2023, but just couldn’t stay with it either, I guess the rangefinder type cameras are the ones I just really love to use.
When the Fujifilm X100VI was available for pre-order in February 2024, I hesitated, for a few days, then I decided this was the time to get back into the X100 series. I’m looking forward to putting the camera to the test and updating my findings here very soon. Obviously since the camera is currently on backorder as of March 2024, the images below will have to be updated once the camera arrives.
