Why Do a Weekly Series?
Publishing creative work on a regular basis can be both challenging and rewarding. Over time, I’ve found that setting a simple, repeatable structure—like weekly themed posts—helps build momentum, stay motivated, and keep sharing work even during the busiest of weeks.
That’s what my Weekly Series are all about. And you can see all the combined posts on the Weekly Series tag or choose from the individual series below.
Organizing the Days
Each series corresponds to a day of the week and follows a loose theme. The posts are often image-based, personal, and reflective of where I’ve been, what I’ve seen, or what has caught my eye creatively. These recurring series offer a way to stay connected to the creative process, explore different subjects, and provide some rhythm to the blog itself. They’re not always posted every week, but when they are, it’s always on the same day.
Weekly themes also encourage me to keep digging through my photo archives, seek out small stories in everyday life, and post even when there’s no “big” project to share. Over time, they’ve become a visual journal of sorts—capturing time, place, and perspective.
Current Weekly Series
I’ve setup each one so that it can correspond to the day of the week, Day 1 being Sunday and so on.
Sunday to Saturday
- Day 1 Sunday Series
- Day 2 Macro Monday : A close-up look at small subjects, textures, and details through the lens of macro photography or visit the Macro Monday Tag for all the updates.
- Day 2 Monochrome Monday : A series posted on a single or set of monochrome images or visit the Monochrome Monday tag, for all the updates.
- Day 3 My Tuesday Series (coming soon)
- Day 4 Wordless Wednesday : A single or related set of new images without extensive use of words or context—letting the photo speak entirely for itself or visit the Wordless Wednesday tag, for all the updates.
- Day 5 Throwback Thursday : Highlighting older photos from my archives, whether shot on film or digitally, looking back at past moments worth revisiting or visit the Throwback Thursday tag for all the updates.
- Day 6 Friday Feet : A casual snapshot of where our feet have taken us this week—part travel journal, part life marker. This is one of my longest running series or visit a list of all the Friday Feet tag for all the updates.
- Day 7 Sports Saturday – a sports related photo, for Saturday’s are sports days in this part of the country. (coming soon)
- Day 7 Six on Saturday – a post consisting of 6 images on Saturday (coming soon)
- Day 7 SoC Saturday – Stream of Conscience Saturday is a series that allows for just an open stream of text and photos, but will mostly focus on photos I’ve taken throughout the week. (coming soon)
