Photography on the Streets of Nicaragua

Taxi Ride on the Streets of Nicaragua

I’ve been going back through some edits for the website lately, and I came across this entire street shoot I did in Nicaragua a few years ago that I had not processed yet. These images were never really part of the focus of the trip, so I never got around to looking at them until this week. On this particular day our team took a day to walk around the marketplace and just take in some of the local culture.

I remember so much about this day. Even though the photos had never really crossed my eyes until now, it was just a fun, stress free time to walk around. It was so extremely hot, which you can’t tell from the images, but the people out in the marketplace were so friendly and the streets themselves were so full of life, traffic, sounds, all the things that made for a perfect day to walk around with a camera. These weren’t all taken on a single day, the images from the airport were coming and going, but other than that most were taken in one afternoon.

For the photographers out there, they were all taken on my Fujifilm X-Pro2, all black and white images were using the ACROS preset and were jpg’s taken straight from Lightroom. The others were processed RAF files using a preset from Evan Ranft (#22).
