Well, it is official, I am a grandmother. William Alan Fillmer was born on Friday, September 23rd at 8:20pm (CST). He weighed in at 8.02 lbs(3.6kgs) and measured 21 inches (53.34 centimeters). Parents and baby are all doing just great. Sara’s (William’s mother) parents were there for the delivery and I will be going to meet him for the first time next month. From the pictures I have seen he is a cute little guy, but I am biased. He has his father’s appendages and was unable to escape the Whittenberg (my father’s) ears. Here he is:
