Lee County is a county located in the south-east central portion of the state of Alabama. As of the 2010 census the population was 140,247. The county seat is Opelika, and the largest city is Auburn, and it contains 616 square miles. On March 3rd 2019 a huge EF4 tornado struck Lee County killing 23 people and forever changing the landscape here. It is a day we won’t forget.
I’ve lived in Lee County, in the rural part of Lee County, for almost 15 years now, and I’m continually amazed at the people, and the unique photographic opportunities the county contains. As a photographer I feel I have barely scratched the surface of what Lee County has to offer. The unique structures left over from the civil war, modern cities, and new subdivisions, all living within a 15 minute drive.
My plan for my own photography in Lee County is to document the life and area through a unique vision that comes with living here. To capture images close to my heart and home, but in a way that combines artistic beauty and real life. If there is something you would like to see or need photographed in Lee County or the surrounding area please let me know.
