My yearly collection of images contains two different types of portfolios, a Yearly Recap, and a Project 365 collection. The Yearly Recap is the newer rendition.

The projects contained in this portfolio are based around dates of yearly recaps and daily photos taken over the period of a year. The information below is how this project is organized with two main categories between Yearly Recaps and Project 365 images.

Yearly Recaps

As a way to take an objective view of my photography I am working on a yearly recap gallery for each year going backwards to the 90s. For each year below I select 24 images to represent the year. If interested, I also have a gear breakdown year by year.

Sometimes that’s hard sometimes easy. If you are interested you can see my Yearly Recap page. Below is a breakdown of images shot per year, and to see the 24 images per year click on the images below.

If you have never done a yearly recap of your images it is an exercise that takes some patience, but also resolve to do it. I came across several years that I just didn’t want to revisit. Some I loved, some I just never wanted to see again, like the Covid years, those weren’t great photographically, at least for me.

Project 365

This project started long ago for me with the idea that I needed to get into the habit of using my camera every day of the year. It worked, I have taken a photograph almost every day since that time starting in 2012. The projects below are based around one photo a day taken for an entire year. Each single day has one photo representative of the day. This is less edited and more snapshots of life.
